Today is space day for my #fs2 baby. I didn’t remember until the day before yesterday. So, I spent the last day and a half hyping him up about being a black hole because I didn’t have time to make anything else. And just like that, I’m 35. This getting older thing isn’t so bad after all. I spent the early morning snuggled on the couch with my family, and the rest of the day with these great friends of mine. We celebrate BHM here although the celebration only takes place within our home. We know and want them to understand that we are black Americans regardless of where we reside. We used the children’s International Day at school to celebrate the month again this year, and because of that #baby1’s British teacher asked her to present a PowerPoint teaching her international class about Black History Month ❤️. She was super proud and excited. She still hasn’t brought our black history books back from her school because she said that her friends are still reading them ❤️. I want my children to walk away from this experience of living abroad learning and sharing in other peoples’s cultures while also giving people the opportunity to do the same with theirs.
